The Rock Compares Black Adam to Superman: ‘A Single Difference’

Actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has expressed his opinion on the main differences between his character, Black Adam, and Superman from DC’s Extended Universe.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter to talk about Jungle Cruise, The Rock was asked if Black Adam will have the same abilities as the Man of Steel. He reinforced that the character has an advantage – he is capable of using magical powers!

“Black Adam has all the powers of Superman, but the difference is he is blessed with magic. And also, by a code of ethics in the world of superheroes, they don’t kill the bad guys, but Black Adam does,” assures Johnson.

Despite the lack of information about the film and the distant release, it is hard to say whether Black Adam will meet Superman in person.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director James Gunn revealed in an interview with Collider that filming for the movie would begin in November in Georgia. According to Gunn, the script for the new MCU film has been finished for years.

“It’s basically been finished for years. I keep fiddling with different things and adding things and figuring out permutations and stuff — I’m in the middle of doing another draft now — but it’s really small stuff in comparison to what it has been. It’s basically been finished since three years ago,” the director said.

Despite Gamora‘s death in Avengers: Infinity War and the inclusion of a new version of her in Avengers: Endgame, James Gunn explained that Marvel did not ask him to include anything new in the characters’ story.

“The only time they ever [asked me to include something for future MCU movies] was on the first movie with Thanos, putting Thanos in there. Which they wanted me to do. But besides that, they’ve never done that.

I have to pay attention to things that happen, which they did talk to me about – the stuff with Gamora and things like that.

I know that the characters have been through certain things, so I have to deal with that stuff. But for the most part, they never once asked me to put anything in the script for Volume 3 to set up anything in the future. Nor would I do it, frankly, it’s not really my thing.“

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is scheduled for release in 2023, and the franchise will also have a Christmas special and Baby Groot shorts.

Loki’s Most Genius Easter Egg Was Totally by Accident

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has revealed that an amazing easter egg in Loki‘s first season was completely accidental and wasn’t put there on purpose.

It turns out that fans noticed that the Temporal Variance Authority (TVA) logo, displayed mainly on the uniforms worn throughout the series, hides a genius secret – and one that involves one of the new leading ladies in the new phase of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe (UCM).

Turning the AVT symbol upside down, the image reveals the word “VAL.” See:

It wouldn’t strictly come as a surprise that the series was making a reference to Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who goes by the nickname Val since the first season was filled with the most diverse references, as well as the addition of the multiverse.

As it turns out, Kevin Feige himself commented via Twitter during a virtual Black Widow screening event that everyone back at Marvel (him included) was utterly taken aback when they found out about the coincidence.

“All of us at Marvel Studios are excited to have Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the MCU. Did you know the TVA logo upside spells VAL? Neither did we until someone on Twitter pointed it out!” he wrote.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond Season 2 Gets Teaser and Premiere Date

The second and final season of The Walking Dead: World Beyond, a spin-off series of The Walking Dead, has been given a premiere date: October 3.

The date was revealed this Saturday (24), during Comic-Con@Home. At the beginning of the panel, a new video for the series showed some new faces.

At the meeting, executive producer Matt Negrete talked about the decision to end the series. “Scott and I have always viewed the series as a closed, shorter story,” he said. “It’s always nice to know your ending and to work toward it. It’s very satisfying.”

The series tells the story of the first generation that grew up in the face of the zombie apocalypse through the unique point of view of a group of young people – sisters Iris (Aliyah Royale) and Hope (Alexa Mansour) and their friends Elton (Nicolás Cantú) and Silas (Hal Cumpston) – who, in search of answers about life and the world, leave their safe and comfortable place to face the living and undead dangers of this universe.

The series also stars Annet Mahendru as Huck, Nico Tortorella as Felix, and Julia Ormond as Lieutenant Colonel Elizabeth, the leader of the CRM, a para-military organization working on a controversial project to rescue society.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond is produced by AMC Studios. Matt Negrete is the showrunner and executive producer alongside Scott Gimple.

The last episode of Loki brought moments of extreme importance for the future of the MCU. And it may have brought a reference to the Fantastic Four, according to some more diligent fans.

While nothing has been confirmed, the moment, which takes place early on, seems to indicate that the upcoming arrival of the superhero family is closer than ever at Marvel.

Right after the opening, with the various voices from the MCU and the story, one last sentence can be heard. The first man to set foot on the moon is astronaut Neil Armstrong, saying his famous line, “one small step for man, one big leap for mankind.”

And the image shows a gold-colored spacecraft crossing space, something fans believe is the “debut” of the Fantastic Four.

This is not the first possible reference to the core family in a Marvel series. For example, in WandaVision, there was dialogue quoting astronauts working for S.W.O.R.D., who some fans believe to be Reed Richards, Ben Grimm and Johnny, and Sue Storm.

The Witcher: Legend of the Wolf Gets a New Exciting Teaser

Netflix has released a new teaser for The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, an animated spin-off of the series starring Henry Cavill.

Here, we meet a time before Geralt of Rivia, where his mentor Vesemir is a highly competent monster hunter, but with a more outgoing demeanor than his disciple, but with the same skill.

In the teaser, Vesemir himself narrates the difficult relationship the witches of Kaer Morhen have with normal civilians.

However, when supernatural threats and hideous creatures appear, he is the one the towns and cities’ inhabitants turn to. The action looks incredible in the series, showing a still young Vesemir at the peak of his witch and monster hunter skills.

The teaser also confirms the premiere of The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf on Netflix’s streaming platform on August 23.

The animation features executive production from Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, producer of the live-action series, which is also expected to return soon for its highly anticipated second season.

In the upcoming Netflix movie, Jason Momoa stars as a devoted father who decides to fight big pharma. Are you ready for an action-packed movie?

With a different antagonist than usual, Sweet Girl is the new Netflix action movie that promises to take Jason Momoa to extremes to avenge his wife’s death and protect his daughter.

Scripted by Gregg Hurwitz and Philip Eisner, Sweet Girl premieres on August 20 on the streaming platform, and the first trailer promises plenty of action and fights. This film marks the directorial debut of Brian Andrew Mendoza, who has done more producer work, including on Momoa projects like Frontier and Braven.

Ray Cooper, a man devoted to his family, vows to bring justice to the pharmaceutical company responsible for taking a potentially life-saving drug off the market just before his wife (Adria Arjona) dies of cancer. But when his quest for the truth results in a deadly encounter that puts Ray and his daughter, Rachel (Isabela Merced), in danger, Ray’s mission turns into a quest for revenge to protect the only family he has left.

Jason Momoa stars in the film and is joined by Justin Bartha (“National Treasure”), Amy Brenneman, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Raza Jaffrey, Lex Scott Davis, and Michael Raymond-James (“True Blood”), as well as Isabela Merced (“Transformers: The Last Knight”).

The film marks the actor’s Netflix debut and his return after Aquaman. Recall that the actor appeared in Dune, which won’t premiere until late 2021, and has been starring in See, the Apple Tv+ series that was recently renewed.

Disney Reveals Teaser Trailer for Pixar’s Turning Red Movie

Disney has unveiled to the world the first trailer for Turning Red, Pixar’s first big movie for 2022 and is scheduled to premiere on March 11, 2022.

The project is directed by Domee Shi, the Oscar winner for Bao, the 2018 short film, and produced by Lindsey Collins (“Looking for Dory”). The trailer gives the first glimpse into this animated world, spotlighting the main character and introducing us to her unusual powers. However, so far, little is known about the unfolding story of this adventure.

In addition to the trailer, the studio also revealed the first post from the feature film, highlighting the main character in his very endearing bear form.

Rosalie Chiang was the young actress chosen to voice Mei Lee, “a 13-year-old who suddenly “poofs” into a giant red panda when she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS).”

The remaining cast of original voices also includes Sandra Oh (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Killing Eve”), who voices Ming, “Mei Lee’s protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, who is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager.”

Jungle Cruise 2: A Sequel is Already Being Considered by Disney

With just over a week to go before the release of Jungle Cruise, speculation about a possible sequel to the film has begun to circulate online. The production, which stars Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson as the main characters, will be released on July 30 in theaters and Disney+ with Premier Access.

The film is a significant investment for Disney this year. After several postponements of the premiere date due to the pandemic, Jungle Cruise is finally getting its release. Promotions for the film are ongoing and include many interviews with the actors and behind-the-scenes videos.

The movie, which is based on an attraction from the parks, may receive a sequel. In an interview with THR, Johnson stated that he has so much confidence in the film that he is willing to come back for a sequel and try to bring Blunt with him.

Jungle Cruise has already had a great reception with audiences during testing. However, for Disney to give the green light to a sequel, it depends on its results after the premiere. After Black Widow failed to get a box office hit, the studio hopes to prevent the same from happening to accomplish future plans.

Ghostbusters Afterlife: New Trailer (New Generation Gets Into Action!)

The sequel to the two original Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, got a new trailer this Tuesday (27). The preview shows a pair of youngsters who take on the responsibility of capturing spooky hauntings when their town is invaded.

For now, we know little about the film’s plot, but director Jason Reitman has already said that it is a new story, with new characters and a new setting. In the movie, we will follow the family of Dr. Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) as they discover his legacy as a Ghostbuster and about an afterlife.

It is expected to feature, in addition to the main cast, actor Paul Rudd (“Ant-Man”) in an unknown role and promises to also bring appearances by some stars from the original films.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is directed by Jason Reitman, the son of Ivan Reitman, who himself was director of the two original features. In addition to Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver, the cast includes Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, and Carrie Coon.
