The Ewoks are friendly, look like teddy bears and even dance – and plant stars – together in a big celebration in the forest. How to resist? The Ewoks, a Star Wars universe cuties race, first appear in “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.”
Due to their popularity, they have been given two telefilms (“Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure” and “Ewoks: The Battle for Endor”), as well as an animated TV series (“Star Wars: Ewoks”).

The Ewoks are from a tribe of intelligent, hunting beings native to the forest moon of Endor. The teddy bear-like creatures live in various treetop huts and primitive dwellings.
They are a controversial part of George Lucas’ world, as many fans felt (and still do) that the cute little critters are too childish, as well as surreal in defeating an army of armed and battle-trained stormtroopers with primitive technology.
Wicket W. Warrick was a loyal, curious and adventurous young Ewok scout when he first encountered Princess Leia Organa in the forests of the moon of Endor.
It didn’t take long for the Ewoks to pledge allegiance to the Rebel Alliance and help the rebels fight against the Empire.
Had it not been for the Ewoks, the rebels would not have been able to infiltrate and destroy the generator, thanks to which the Alliance fleet was able to enter the superstructure of the second Death Star and destroy the station.
