“Womanizer,” a Britney Spears music video released in 2008, is one of Britney Spears’ most iconic, marking the 2008 comeback of the Circus era.

If you’re old enough, you’ve probably heard it a few times. But for some mysterious reason, the music video for the song has become one of the most-watched videos in the world. In 2020!

Four singles were released, three of which became international hits. Britney first single, “Womanizer,” reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and was recorded as the most significant jump to the top of the charts at the time, after debuting at number 96.

It became Spears’ best-selling single in the country since “… Baby One More Time” (1998) and received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording at the 52nd Grammy Awards (2010).

The second and third singles, “Circus” and “If U Seek Amy,” reached numbers three and 19, respectively.

Consequently, Circus became Spears’ second studio album after her debut … Baby One More Time (1999), with two top 10 singles and three top 20 singles, and was also the first to have two top 5 singles in the United States with five songs on the Billboard Hot 100.

Spears embarked on a tour entitled The Circus Starring Britney Spears to promote the album in March 2009.
