Miguel is a 12-year-old aspiring musician struggling against his family’s ancient prohibition on music.

When a magical setback linked to a 100-year-old mystery takes him to the World of the Dead, Miguel seeks out his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz, to help him return to the World of the Living before it is too late.

Inspired by The Day of the Dead, a Mexican holiday, the adventure leads to an extraordinary family reunion.

Coco is an animated film about memory, dreams, and the various generations of the same family.
