Based on Green Goblin’s appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home comes the new Funko Pop! Spider-Man: No Way Home – Green Goblin Unmasked Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure Exclusive.
Hearing the Green Goblin’s malicious laugh and watching him tossing pumpkin bombs on the glider has certainly brought back the audiences’ memories.
One of the most exciting films ever produced by Marvel Studios, Spider-Man: No Way Home, has come to provide a more than satisfying conclusion to Peter Parker’s story while also opening up a myriad of possibilities for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
And much of what made the film such an incredible phenomenon were the returns of classic characters from other Spidey franchises.
While two hero appearances are fondly remembered so far, the villains also form the most solid foundation of the narrative, particularly Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin.
He returns to the role nearly twenty years since his first appearance in Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man.
He takes the reins of antagonism in the film and becomes a real challenge to Peter Parker.
Green Goblin Unmasked Funko Pop! is an unconfirmed release. It is only official when or if Funko announces it. I’ll update more information in the long run.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is an actual nostalgia show, bringing together characters that have marked the last 20 years of the Geek on the big screen.
There are many references to the hero’s past adventures in the film, especially with the return of villains and Peter Parkers from other versions.
Never trust Norman Osborn! Shortly after arriving in the MCU, the Green Goblin decides to play friendly and helpful to manipulate Peter Parker.
It turns out that the boy decides to help all the villains from dying in their respective realities, and Osborn quickly offers to assist.
When Parker discusses the scientific experiments he needs to do to achieve his goal, Osborne replies, “You know, I’m a scientist too.” The exact line is what the villain said to Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker in their first meeting back in 2002.
In horror movies, you may think that the killer has been defeated, but he always comes back for a final scare.
The same applies to the Green Goblin, whose secret trick in Spider-Man (2002) was to use the blades of his glider to try to kill Peter Parker. In the event, the hero deflects, and Norman Osborn ends up dying from his own equipment.
In No Way Home, the Green Goblin is almost finished in the same way, only by the hands of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, who takes the laminated glider in his hands to attack the villain, but is stopped by the other Spider-Men.
