Mexican culture represents death very colorfully, and this year (2022) serves as inspiration for these incredible new Star Wars: Dia de Los Muertos Funko pop figures.
Death has an essential meaning in all cultures around the world. Particularly in Mexico, many rituals and customs honor life and preserve the memory of those who have passed away.
The Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), which has its origins in a mixture of pre-Hispanic and Spanish Catholic traditions, is one of the most colorful and popular traditions surrounding death worldwide.
This series of figures includes a mini-collection named “Dia de Los Star Wars,” with an obvious Day of the Dead theme in which each character has a new and unique DÃa de Muertos deco design. Here’s the breakdown for this release:

Mexico has a great variety of traditions and festivities and is always full of history and culture, and without a doubt, the Day of the Dead is one of them.
We must not forget that UNESCO declared this festivity as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Today, it is a very representative tradition of Mexican culture, besides becoming a reference for travelers from all over the world who want to know and live this magnificent experience.
This celebration takes place on November 1st and 2nd because, according to tradition, the dead arrive every midnight to visit the living between October 28 and November 2.
Thus, in October, we can already see the beautiful decorations of this festivity on every corner, such as offerings, “papel picado,” beautiful catrinas, and the iconic cempasúchil flower.
