Pop! Ad Icons: McDonald's - Wave 2
For those who think Ronald McDonald has always been Macdonald’s mascot, they are wrong. Enchanted with the production line called “Speedee Service System,” used by another fast-food network called White Castle, the company decided to name their first mascot Speedee.
Before Macdonald’s adopted the official logo as we know it, it used this mascot for some years. Speedee was a man with a chef’s hat with a hamburger-shaped head. It was only in 1967 that Ronald McDonald replaced him.
In this new McDonald’s Funko Pop! wave, we can get the Rock Out McDonald, with rocking shades and a guitar in the shape of the golden arches; Birdie the Early Bird, wearing her signature flight suit and goggles; Fireman Nugget, Rockstar Nugget, Tennis Nugget, and Cowboy Nugget in a throwback to the McNugget Buddies that were Happy Meal toys in the 80s; and the Fry Guys 2-Pack Pop! figures, so you better “Keep your eyes on your fries.” As for exclusives, we can get the Fry Guys with another color as a Funko Exclusive and the Scuba Nugget as a Target Exclusive.
