The Witcher: Nightmare Of The Wolf Wons Its First Teaser

After news of more Nightmare Of The Wolf plot details, The Witcher animated movie gets a teaser on Netflix.

News from The Witcher seems to be doubling recently. News of season 2 of the series now comes accompanied by updates on the Nightmare Of The Wolf animated movie. Shortly after Netflix revealed the premiere date for Season 2 of the drama starring Henry Cavill, the streamer shared that Nightmare of The Wolf premieres on Monday, August 23, 2021.

Furthermore, after we found out last month that the story will focus on Vesemir, this time, we were entitled to a synopsis, a poster, and a teaser.

The synopsis goes like this: “Vesemir, a cocky young witcher, delights in slaying monsters for coin. When a dangerous new power rises on the Continent, Vesemir learns that some witchering jobs are about more than just money. ”

The project comes from The Witcher series producers Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Beau DeMayo and Korean animation studio Studio Mir. The announcement of the premiere date came Friday during the inaugural WitcherCon, from Netflix and CD Projekt Red.

In the teaser, we can see that the freedom from the high cost of special effects in the original series will allow us to see more creatures, magic, and detail. As for the animation itself is a mix between Castlevania and the animated films of DC Comics and Warner.

Peacemaker: Release Date and First 3 Episode Titles Revealed

The premiere date for the Peacemaker series, starring John Cena, was released today (26) by DC. Peacemaker will debut his standalone series on HBO Max on January 16, 2022.

In addition to the release information, it was also revealed that the first three episodes will be released together, with the other five following on a weekly basis. In addition to the Peacemaker release date, it was also shared the titles for the first three episodes of the series:

Best Friends Never
Better Goff Dead

Peacemaker is centered on John Cena‘s character in the new Suicide Squad. In addition to Cena, the series will feature Danielle Brooks (“Orange Is the New Black”), who will play Leota Adebayo, an unreleased character whose details have not been revealed, and Chris Conrad, who will be the Vigilante.

James Gunn (“Suicide Squad” and “Guardians of the Galaxy”) wrote all the episodes but left the directing to Jody Hill, Brad Anderson, and Rosemary Rodriguez.

The Wheel of Time: Amazon Reveals Poster and Premiere Date

The Wheel of Time is an upcoming epic fantasy series on Prime Video, based on Robert Jordan’s best-selling novel series of the same name.

The series co-Produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television, has gained its first poster (see full below) and premiere preview during a panel at Comic-Con@Home. The episodes will arrive on the platform in November 2021.

Showrunner Rafe Judkins (Agents of SHIELD) was the one representing the series at the panel, explaining the poster in detail.

“Fans of the book will recognize this as an iconic moment in The Eye of the World book. It’s Moiraine saying come along for the ride.” he commented.

Set in the High Middle Ages and featuring a strong presence of mystical forces, the book series is known for its absurd level of detail and deep world-building, rivaling A Song of Ice and Fire (which in turn gave rise to Game of Thrones) in many respects, which has always generated strong comparison among fans.

The Wheel of Time books began publication in 1990. The plot of the first volume revolves around Rand Al’Thor, a young man who may be the key to eliminating darkness from the world, as within him may reside the power of The Dragon, an entity that can decide the future of all nations.

The saga is set in an unnamed world that resembles Earth in the Renaissance while featuring technologies that can be considered futuristic.

The saga became known primarily for the length of each book, which averages about 300,000 words each, something like 700 pages in each. Jordan wrote the first 11 novels, and, after his death, Brandon Sanderson finished the plot with three more volumes.

The cast features Rosamund Pike, Josha Stradowski, Marcus Rutherford, Zoë Robins, Barney Harris, Madeleine Madden, Daniel Henney, and Michael McElhatton.

Uta Briesewitz, of Jessica Jones, Fear the Walking Dead, and Stranger Things, will direct the first two episodes of the series.

Even before the first season was released, Amazon has already renewed the production for a second year.

Suicide Squad will use some of the same characters from David Ayer’s 2016 original movie, such as Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman) and Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), but won’t have as many connections to the predecessor’s plot.

The film will draw inspiration from the group’s 1980s comics, written by John Ostrander – who even appears in the first trailer – and Kim Yale. Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 6.

Ghostbusters Afterlife: New Trailer (New Generation Gets Into Action!)

The sequel to the two original Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, got a new trailer this Tuesday (27). The preview shows a pair of youngsters who take on the responsibility of capturing spooky hauntings when their town is invaded.

For now, we know little about the film’s plot, but director Jason Reitman has already said that it is a new story, with new characters and a new setting. In the movie, we will follow the family of Dr. Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) as they discover his legacy as a Ghostbuster and about an afterlife.

It is expected to feature, in addition to the main cast, actor Paul Rudd (“Ant-Man”) in an unknown role and promises to also bring appearances by some stars from the original films.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is directed by Jason Reitman, the son of Ivan Reitman, who himself was director of the two original features. In addition to Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver, the cast includes Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, and Carrie Coon.

Suicide Squad: James Gunn Tested Several King Shark’s Voices

Sylvester Stallone’s King Shark is one of the big attractions of Suicide Squad, but James Gunn had trouble finding the right voice.

In motion capture, the character was played by Steve Agee. Still, to bring him to life, the director tested several performers, despite having Stallone’s name in mind since the project’s original conception.

During a press conference, Gunn talked about the difficulty in finding the right voice for King Shark, saying that working with him was more complex than with Rocket and Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy.

“We had one voice actor come in and do the whole movie. It didn’t work. We had another voice actor come and do the whole movie. He didn’t come to life. We had an actor — an actor who’s a really fantastic actor, who’s also a friend of mine — come in and do the voice, and that didn’t work. And then I was like, ‘Guys, I don’t know what to do. I think I have to go to Sly.‘ And I called up Sly. He said he would love to do it. And he came in, and right away that character just sort of came to life,” he said.

According to Gunn, the role was written for Stallone, but he and the studio were wary of contacting the star on the first try for fear that it wouldn’t work out. In the end, Sly turned out to be the solution.

James Gunn Confirmed! Suicide Squad Has a Post-Credits Scene

Suicide Squad will have a post-credits scene, director James Gunn has assured on Twitter. Interacting with his fans, the filmmaker confirmed that the trailers for DC’s new release are over, but some commercials will still be released.

“Yes, there is a scene after the credits roll, so be sure to stay for that.”

“No more trailers, sorry. There are lots of clips and commercials coming out but beware: Everything in Suicide Squad is a spoiler. I tried to reveal only what was necessary. So be careful what you watch/read on the internet in the next two weeks if you want to avoid spoilers.”

Gunn also assured that the film’s soundtrack would be released. According to the director, “the vinyl is excellent,” and news about it will be revealed soon.

Ant-Man 3: The First Day Shooting With a Behind-The-Scenes Photo

It is worth remembering that actress Evangeline Lilly, who plays the Wasp in the film, had already confirmed earlier this year that recording would begin in July.

In addition to Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will feature the debut of Kathryn Newton (“Big Little Lies”) as Cassie Lang, and Jonathan Majors (“Lovecraft Country”) has been confirmed as Kang the Conqueror.

The film officially hits theaters on February 17, 2023.

The Simpsons Season 33 Gets Its First All-Musical Episode

The Simpsons season 33 premiere will prove that the yellow family’s animated series can still do something new, even three decades after its release. That’s because the season premiere will also be the first 100% musical episode in animation history. Even better, it will feature the proven musical talent of Kristen Bell (Frozen) as a special guest.

The news was announced during The Simpsons panel at San Diego Comic-Con@Home 2021. Entitled “The Star of the Backstage,” the episode will air on September 26.

In this episode, Marge has great memories about being the stage manager of her ‘Y2K: End of the World,’ high school musical, and she decides to reinterpret the whole thing after 20 years by bringing everyone together. But when her big enemy in high school comes to town, she realizes that the memories she had weren’t exactly accurate.

According to executive producer Matt Selman: “It’s the most musical episode we’ve ever done. It’s almost music from start to finish, non-stop. It’s like a Broadway musical in episode form, full of original songs,” he said.

Kristen Bell‘s role will be surprising: she will play the singing voice of Marge Simpson. However, Julie Kavner, who has lent her voice to the character for years, will remain in charge of the non-singing dialogues.

Among other promised new features are: The Simpsons Halloween special will have five parts, not three; the exploration of “the greatest tragedy Homer has ever faced,” featuring Rachel Bloom; and a two-part episode called “A Serious Flanders” inspired by Fargo, other crime dramas and prestige TV series. Other special guests will include Timothy Olyphant, Cristin Milioti, and Brian Cox.

The Ratcatcher, played by Daniela Melchior, is one of the highlights of The Suicide Squad, but she definitely doesn’t come alone.

James Gunn commented on the large number of rats that the villain brings along with her, estimating the number of animals. He also talked about two main rats, who always accompany the actress in most of her scenes.

In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the director commented that about 300 thousand rats were used, which can be seen in some trailers scenes.

Also notable are the names of two mice, the main ones, who “played” Sebastian, the main companion of the Ratcatcher.

“We have a couple of good actors. We have a rat by the name of Jaws that we worked with a lot. And then a rat by the name of Crisp Rat, who is named after my friend Chris Pratt. They were our two main active rats that played Sebastian, the rat in the movie. And then we have about 300,000 other rats,” he said.

The character stands as the second in line to the “Ratcatcher,” a classic DC villain who is part of this version of Suicide Squad.
