Black Widow: David Harbour Got Real Stuck in the Red Guardian Costume

After years in prison, the Red Guardian‘s return (David Harbour) was quite a struggle – to the point of becoming a recurring joke in Black Widow.

During a virtual event for the film on Monday (19), Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige recalled a moment when Harbour got stuck in the character’s costume for real, just as it happened in fiction – and of course, he couldn’t help but reveal that story to fans.

“During the shooting of Alexei getting changed into his Red Guardian suit, there was one take where he actually got stuck inside the suit and had to call for help to get out. The shot even made it into the movie,” Feige tweeted.

The character seems to be here to stay, with the huge success he is making among fans. Previously, Harbour also revealed to Variety that he would love the Red Guardian to appear more often.

“I love the character, there’s so many things you could do with him. There’s this gap of 25 years where we don’t know who was he, what is his version of events as opposed to the actual version of events?” he explained.

Harbour further added that he wonders why the character doesn’t attend the battle against Thanos and about a future after Natasha Romanoff’s death.

“It’s very interesting to me, and I hope that there is interest on other levels, and maybe we’ll see some more.“

Actress Michaela Coel has just officially joined the cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in a, so far, mysterious role. Is it possible that she will play the mutant Storm?

Since the sequel began production, some rumors have started to suggest that in the film there will be a war with the underwater kingdom of Atlantis.

Thus, Coel may play one of the first mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (UCM) to be a major ally in that battle.

Storm even married King T’Challa in the comics, becoming an important part of Wakanda and the Black Panthers’ lineage.

Even in one of the comics, it was seen that T’Challa told the mutant that her powers were “a divine gift, passed down from her ancestors.”

However, it is important to remember that actor Chadwick Boseman tragically passed away, and Marvel has no intention of recasting the character – making the romance story fall flat.

However, a recent story could serve as inspiration for the character’s arrival: in a parallel universe, Storm was reinvented as Queen of Kenya. It would make a lot of sense, wouldn’t it?

The Witcher: Nightmare Of The Wolf Wons Its First Teaser

After news of more Nightmare Of The Wolf plot details, The Witcher animated movie gets a teaser on Netflix.

News from The Witcher seems to be doubling recently. News of season 2 of the series now comes accompanied by updates on the Nightmare Of The Wolf animated movie. Shortly after Netflix revealed the premiere date for Season 2 of the drama starring Henry Cavill, the streamer shared that Nightmare of The Wolf premieres on Monday, August 23, 2021.

Furthermore, after we found out last month that the story will focus on Vesemir, this time, we were entitled to a synopsis, a poster, and a teaser.

The synopsis goes like this: “Vesemir, a cocky young witcher, delights in slaying monsters for coin. When a dangerous new power rises on the Continent, Vesemir learns that some witchering jobs are about more than just money. ”

The project comes from The Witcher series producers Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Beau DeMayo and Korean animation studio Studio Mir. The announcement of the premiere date came Friday during the inaugural WitcherCon, from Netflix and CD Projekt Red.

In the teaser, we can see that the freedom from the high cost of special effects in the original series will allow us to see more creatures, magic, and detail. As for the animation itself is a mix between Castlevania and the animated films of DC Comics and Warner.

Hawkeye: Jeremy Renner Shares New Details About Kate Bishop’s Debut

In the Hawkeye live-action series adventure, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) crosses paths with Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld). Fans have been excited to see how their unique comic book momentum unfolds on screen.

Renner spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the debut of Steinfeld’s character, explaining how the dynamic between the two Hawkeye Archers will play out, which should be one of the highlights of the series.

According to the actor, Bishop is a sort of fan of Hawkeye, taking inspiration from the hero to the point of taking his place when duty calls.

“She a 22-year-old kid, and she’s a big Hawkeye fan. She has a wonderfully annoying and equally charming manner about her because she’s such a fangirl of Hawkeye. The relationship grows from that, but the biggest problem for Clint is Kate Bishop and the onslaught of problems that she brings into his life,” he explained.

With this remark from the actor, we can see that the relationship between the two characters should set the tone of the series, with a lot of learning and companionship.

Masters of the Universe Revelation: Special Episode Brings Spoilers to Part 2

Hosted by Tiffany Smith, Kevin Smith, and Rob David, Masters of the Universe – Revelation “Aftershow”, is available on Netflix.

Along with the release of Masters of the Universe: Revelation – Part 1, Netflix has also released a special episode just over 20 minutes long that features Tiffany Smith (the animated series’ Andra), showrunner Kevin Smith and executive producer Rob David at the helm of a talk show that dives straight into spoilers from the series.

The aftershow gathers cast members to bring trivia in a celebratory mood and even hints at what to expect in Part 2, with no release date yet confirmed.

The special is barely open, and already Smith is claiming that “we’ve killed Adam twice,” in reference to both the pilot episode and the last chapter of Part 1.

In the opening, He-Man is pulverized by the destructive power of all of the magic of Ethernia, channeled into the two halves of the sword of power. Brought back from paradise by Teela in the fifth episode, he is surprised by Skeleton, who impales him in the back using the Havoc Staff and takes the sword of power for himself.

Smith’s statement is shocking because the prince’s death is not made clear, but fortunately, the showrunner corrects himself in a second:

“We apparently killed him,” he says. That’s because all indicate that the animated series’s second installment will feature Adam not only surviving his injuries but somehow managing to become He-Man again. On Twitter, Smith himself promised an incredible battle between the hero and Skeleton in the seventh chapter of the series.

Scares aside, the aftershow schedule continues with lighthearted interviews conducted by the three hosts and core members of the Masters of the Universe: Revelation cast.

Participating in the chat are Sarah Michelle Gellar (Teela), Chris Wood (Adam/He-Man), Liam Cunningham (Man-At-Arms), Alan Oppenheimer (Moss Man), Lena Headey (Evil-Lyn), Kevin Conroy (Mer-Man), Henry Rollins (Tri-Klops), Jason Mewes (Stinkor), and Stephen Root (Cringer/Battle Cat).

And as much as the conversation with Rollins and Mewes alone is dull, the real highlights are Oppenheimer‘s story of his relationship with fans since voicing the Skeleton in the 1980s cartoon and the charisma of Conroy and Hamill, veterans of Batman: The Animated Series.

In the segment devoted to collectibles (a must, this is a Mattel production, after all), Smith and Mewes clown around in the best style of their traditional characters Jay and Silent Bob.

It’s not really funny, but it helps to contextualize the toy business. By contrast, Stephen Root‘s genuine excitement over a Battle Cat doll is enough to make the space given over to the merchandise worthwhile.

The aftershow is really worth it for two more direct pieces of information about the future of the series.

There is a hint that Evil-Lyn’s arc, which puts the villain bouncing between good and evil, is still far from being completed and should include some good surprises in the near future.

We also learn that Skeleton, now transformed into a god by the magic of the Sword of Power, will remain “absolutely obsessed with achieving his goals, something that never changes,” according to Hamill. One can imagine that this obsession, which has already prompted complaints from Evil-Lyn in Part 1, will increase the sorceress’ doubts about her positioning between light and dark.

Deadpool debuted in the MCU, in a way, promoting Ryan Reynolds‘ new movie, and who liked it a lot was Hugh Jackman, the eternal Wolverine.

The actor known for his “rivalry” and friendship with Reynolds did not miss the opportunity to make fun of his colleague, who always quotes him everywhere, usually asking for his return as Wolverine.

Jackman commented on the video posted on Reynolds‘ Instagram and congratulated his friend. Except that the reason for the congratulations wasn’t exactly the movie Free Guy or his alleged “arrival” in the MCU alongside Korg, played by Taika Waititi.

“Wow! 4:12 and no mention of me. DP your therapy is working!!!” commented the actor on this truly remarkable achievement.

Suicide Squad: New Teaser Shows The Detachable Kid in Action

A new teaser for The Suicide Squad movie shows Nathan Fillion‘s character, The Detachable Kid, in action. Watch below.

His ability proved rather useless in the scene and annoyed his fellow Squadron members.

Suicide Squad will use some of the same characters from David Ayer’s 2016 original movie, such as Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman) and Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), but won’t have as many connections to the predecessor’s plot.

The film will draw inspiration from the group’s 1980s comics, written by John Ostrander – who even appears in the first trailer – and Kim Yale. Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 6.

Superman: Michael B. Jordan is Working on a Val-Zod Series

Michael B. Jordan, known worldwide for his Black Panther and Creed performances, would be developing a live-action Superman miniseries.

According to Collider, the production, intended for HBO Max, will center on Val-Zod, a version of the Man of Steel from the so-called Earth-2. The project is being handled by Jordan and his production company, Outlier Society, and will not be related to the film produced by J.J. Abrams.

Outlier Society has already hired a screenwriter for the production. Jordan, who is preparing to make his directorial debut on Creed III, will be one of the leading producers, but his presence in the cast is not yet certain.

Val-Zod was created in 2014 by Tom Taylor (“The Suicide Squad,” “Nightwing”), Nicola Scott (“Birds of Prey”), and Robson Rocha (“Aquaman”) and first appeared in Earth-2 #19.

Like Kal-El, Val-Zod was sent to Earth by Jor-El to escape the destruction of Krypton and was rescued by Terry Sloan, who offered him shelter and protection in a secret room at Arkham Asylum. After defeating an evil clone of the original Superman – killed by the Steppenwolf – Val joins the new Wonders group as the new Superman of Earth-2.

Free Guy: Hugh Jackman Makes Fun of Ryan Reynolds With The Film’s Director

Ryan Reynolds is back in Free Guy, his new movie, and Hugh Jackman has taken advantage of the upcoming release to make fun of his friend.

The “rivalry” between the two has become legendary, with “barbs” being exchanged all the time, always in jest. And this time, even the film’s director ended up participating, even without wanting to.

In his Twitter profile, Jackman posted a photo where he appears next to Shawn Levy, director of Free Guy. According to him, the problem is that it was a party given by the director, to which Reynolds was apparently not invited.

The post was widely laughed at by all involved. Poor Ryan Reynolds!

Pokémon: Fan ‘Creates’ Fun Poster For New Netflix’s Live-Action Movie

After the interesting experience of Detective Pikachu, the Pokémon franchise should return to live-action, this time with a series produced by Netflix.

The information comes from Variety magazine, which says that there are still no details about the plot or even the production title. The only certainty is the presence of producer Joe Henderson, who worked on Lucifer.

The first reaction of every fan, of course, was to get excited about the news. However, after a few seconds of consideration, many people started to feel quite a certain skepticism of what might be coming down the line.

Netflix is already known for “spoiling” some works with failed attempts at adaptation. Among the most infamous examples is the terrible live-action Death Note movie.

One Twitter user had a rather dismal vision of what he thinks the result of the Pokémon live-action series will look like.

The young man took an official poster from Riverdale‘s series (which, despite not being from Netflix, is another hated example of an unsuccessful adaptation) and just included – roughly – some elements from the Pokémon world.

The protagonist Archie is seen wearing the famous Ash Ketchum cap and, in the background, it is possible to glimpse the shadow of the dreaded Giratina. For him, the title of the series would be ‘Pallet Town.’

However, it doesn’t hurt us to mention that the public was also quite skeptical at the announcement of Detective Pikachu. Nevertheless, fans were positively surprised upon release, and the film was a critical and box office success.
