Pop! College Mascots

Four mascots from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) basketball league were just added to the Funko Pop! College Mascots line. The NCAA it’s a nonprofit organization that regulates student athletes from up to 1,268 North American institutions and conferences.

Joining now the Funko World is Joe Bruin, who is the official mascot of the University of California, Los Angeles, since 1924. All the sports teams at UCLA go by the ‘Grizzlies’ after Joe! Wildcat, who became the mascot for all the sporting teams of the University of Kentucky in 1909, after the Kentucky football team “fought like wildcats” to win their game! Rameses, who became the Mascot for the University of North Carolina in 1924. He’s a costume mascot but there’s also a real-life Dorset Horn sheep named Rameses who attends football games with his horns painted Carolina blue. Butch T. Cougar, who was represented by a live cougar from 1927-1978! Since then he has been brought to life by a student of Washington State University.
