Four years have passed since their dark concept epic “The Black Parade”. Enough time for the US rockers to reinvent themselves. After several attempts, Gerard Way came up with the idea of bringing his second career – he is now an award-winning comic book author – into his band’s fourth album. This time, MCR embodies the evil gang The KillJoys in the fictional city of Battery City.
The characters can also be found in the songs, which musically can be described as technoid garage rock with fat sing-along melodies. The sounds are Shrill, colorful, and insane. And it looks the same in their road movie clips with masks and plastic guns. An excellent pop art experiment.

Funko brings us now the Pop! Rocks: My Chemical Romance – Danger Days – Gerard Way Funko Pop Vinyl Figure in a Hot Topic Exclusive. Who can’t remember the MCR band wearing strangely colored outfits and battling unusual characters in a desert surrounding featuring the song “Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)? This an absolute must-have to all My Chemical Romance’ fans. The Gerald Way Pop figure is already available for pre-order in the links below.
