When Bob Geldof conceived a Live Aid festival, which took place simultaneously in London and Philadelphia, Queen was certainly one of the most awaited bands to perform. Freddie Mercury still managed to surpass all present expectations – besides the almost 2 billion people who watched the event broadcast worldwide.
The legendary singer’s performance became one of the most unforgettable in history. Much of it is due to the eternal “Ay-Oh” that promoted Freddie’s interaction with the audience of at least 72,000 people present at Wembley Stadium, opening up his showman skills.
It’s always worth remembering that the band’s only 21-minute concert was elected in 2005 as the best rock concert of all time! Freddie Mercury’s performance at 1985 Live Aid was an unforgettable one, so he had to be Pop!-ified!
