From the 2004 film GODZILLA: FINAL WARS, the titanic kaiju Gigan rejoins S.H.MonsterArts in a new Great Decisive Battle Version. Featuring the same sculpting and colors, it also includes effect parts!
The modeling and coloring of the main body are the same as it was at that time, and the gigalium cluster effect and chain parts are included.
The Gigan S.H.MonsterArts Action Figure from Bandai Tamashii Nations measures about 7 1/10-inches tall, and includes the modified Gigan option parts, beam effect parts, beam effect support rod, stand, and 4x chain parts.
Each part can be combined to replicate Modified Gigan, Gigan’s second form in Godzilla: Final Wars, where he is rebuilt with a different head and chainsaws instead of hooks after being decapitated in his early battle with Godzilla. The “Bloody Chainsaws” feature rotating blades!
The S.H. MonsterArts Gigan (2004) Great Battle Ver. from the Godzilla: Final Wars (2004) film can be purchased for $149.99 and can be found at the links below. Its release is scheduled for August this year.
Gigan is an alien cyborg created by Toho that first appeared in the 1972 Godzilla movie Godzilla vs. Gigan. Gigan is a strange monster, with a circular sawed-off weapon located in his front abdominal region, large metal hooks in place of his hands, and smaller hooks on his feet; spines on his tail, three fin-like spines on his back, which are wings, and a red cybernetic visor in place of his eye.
He also has several avian features, with a crest made of metal spines and a metal beak. In the Showa series, Gigan’s skin is a dark green color, and he has golden scales on various parts of his body. In Godzilla: Final Wars, Gigan’s appearance changes to make him look more cybernetic.
In this movie, Gigan’s skin is dark blue, and his body is leaner and more streamlined, and there are wire-like structures on his body. When Gigan is revived as Modified Gigan, his hooked hands are replaced with long double saws. Gigan’s new design in the Millennium series is praised by many as one of the best changes to any monster.
