Zangief is a tough character that, at first glance, you look at and say: “Too much muscle and not enough brains,” and you could say that this is true. Zangief is such an ogre that he was banned from the wrestling championships in Russia due to his enormous brute strength and because no one else dared to face him. Still, as he is a wrestling fanatic, he decided to continue his training alone in the hottest mountains of Siberia “imagine how hot it is there.”
Zangief became a legend in his country, for in his training, he fought polar bears since no one was brave enough to challenge him in a fight. Zangief earned several scars on his body (who better to mess with bears) but learned overwhelming blows, the most famous are his Double Lariat (the one he spins with his arms open) and the feared Spinning Piledriver. Thanks to these blows, he received the name “Red Cyclone” and is considered a hero in his country.
