Goku Black, or simply Black, is a character and the first original antagonist in the Dragon Ball Super series created by Akira Toriyama.
Goku Black was first introduced in episode #47 of the anime, which aired on June 12, 2016.
Goku Black is an entity that resembles Son Goku that wreaks havoc on trunks' timeline from the future, bringing humanity to the brink of extinction.
It is later revealed that his true identity is Zamasu, an apprentice of the supreme Kaioshib of universe 10, who has hijacked Son Goku's body from an entire timeline as part of his plan to achieve immortality and wipe out all mortals.
He was given the name Goku Black by Bulma from the future when he initially referred to himself as Goku.
Goku Black has a single Potara earring and can transform into Super Sayain Rosé, the same transformation as Super Sayain Blue, but the color changes due to Black being a Kaiohshin.
