Belle is an intelligent, thoughtful girl with a thirst for knowledge. She falls in love with the Beast and wants to teach him that there’s more to life than what he’s led to believe which poses a challenge because he doesn’t want to change from his ways at first.
Eventually, she and the Beast grow close and work together on behalf of each other and their friends to fix the problems that have been created by Gaston and the villagers’ fears of what they deem as “strange.”
