Mandalorian warriors loyal to the Empire, Imperial Super Commandos were deadly and efficient enforcers. Led by Gar Saxon, the Imperial Super Commandos’ armor was a distinctive and streamlined white, and their masterful combat abilities were eclipsed only by their ruthlessness.

In Star Wars: Rebels, the Imperial Super Commandos episode follows The Protector of Concord Dawn, where the rebels had to negotiate with a group of Mandalorians called The Protectors to gain access through the Concord Dawn route.

The episode begins with Sabine playing a sort of Mandalorian game of chess-like strategy with Fenn Rau, inside the Mandalorian cell, who was arrested by the rebels last season.

However, the Concord Dawn route causes the rebels to need to go to the scene to find out what happened. So Ezra and Sabine go on a mission, taking Fenn Rau, who convinces them that he is the only one who can talk to the Protectors and understand what is going on.

Arriving on the scene – and after an escape from Rau that doesn’t last long – the trio discovers that all the Protectors have been murdered. It doesn’t take long for the guilty parties to show their faces.

They are the Imperial Super Commandos, Mandalorians allied to the Empire, led by Gar Saxon, a character who had already appeared in the comic Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir and who reveals shortly afterward that the goal was to kill Fenn Rau.
