The Banana Splits were created by Hanna-Barbera in 1968 and became an instant success. The group was made up of four costumed animals – Fleegle the beagle, Bingo the gorilla, Drooper the lion, and Snorky, the elephant.

They hosted their own show, which featured a mix of live-action and animation. The show was known for its catchy songs, slapstick humor, and inventive sketches.

While The Banana Splits only lasted for two seasons, they remain one of Hanna-Barbera’s most beloved creations. In recent years, the group has experienced something of a resurgence in popularity, thanks in part to a rebooted series and a big-budget movie.
